General Plan of our Project

Project activities

  1. Logo contest for the common website: the best one is chosen by voting. Each school could send 3 logos, so there’ll be 12 logos to be voted online: 120 children vote. Each country will send their proposal to Germany by the end of November and then do the voting on 17th January. The logo contest could be organised so that each country does not vote itself. Logos should be the size of an A4 sheet. They can be created on paper or by computer but there should be no animation. All classes can apply. The names of participating countries should appear on the Logo as well as Comenius 2010-2012. The title of the project must be depicted in some way by the logo.

  2. Website: with presentation of schools (work done by pupils) video clips, newspaper articles, reports after each visit. Every country inserts their own information and activities. Only articles and photos on the website. Films are too heavy but they can be inserted onto the school website which can then be linked to the Comenius website. Each country must have a website and insert a link to the Comenius website.

  3. Traveller book: "food" could be the theme. The traveller book should be electronic so that everyone can keep a copy at the end.

  4. Song in different languages with a video. Germany will compose the song and the other countries will translate the lyrics with the playback registration. Work on the lyrics of the song will be done in Poland.

  5. Videoconferences: they can be organised with small groups of 3 and 4 people at the secondary school with the Skype programme.

  6. Penfriends: Spain and Italy will organise exchanges between their primary schools. Poland and Germany and Italy and Spain will organise exchanges between their secondary schools. In secondary school classes can be chosen by teachers, volunteers, compulsory for 4 months and then voluntary. Teacher collects letters and sends them on. Partners are chosen also by the teachers. In four months there has to be two letters.

  7. Videoclips of daily life: someone talks about their daily life. The “making of” may take a long time: script, location and especially editing. Starting with an alarm clock and ending with going to bed. They should be ready two weeks before the meeting in Italy so they can be presented there. Sufficient time should be given over to this activity.

  8. What's life like in other countries: poster, food, weddings, traditions, Christmas, Easter, fairy tales, typical products. Each country presents another. During the visit each group of students works on a particular theme together in nationality groups.

  9. Travel agency: each country presents their own, and then another, in order to have a different point of view of that country, i.e. point of view before the project and as a result of the project.
